  •  Sir Ben Kingsley , England's highly acclaimed thespian, was nominated for the Best Actor Award by the Golden Globes in his latest movie House of Sand and Fog. In an interview (in German) with Sueddeutsche he recalls the story of his orphan grandfather surviving a shipwreck and being adopted by a Zanzibar clove merchant. His father Rahimtoola Bhanji, who became a doctor in the UK  with assistance from Imam Sultan Mohammed Shah ,  married a British actress/fashion model.
